Who is responsible
The Imposter app is provided by Carl-Johan Beckman (“we”). Privacy questions: imposter@beckman.club.
What we collect
- Account (optional): When you sign in with Apple we receive an anonymous user ID from Apple. We do not ask for or receive your name or email address.
- Game statistics: If you are signed in, the app may save played rounds – time, category, number of players and number of imposters – linked to your account.
- Custom word lists: Word lists you create may be stored with your account.
Player names, saved groups, scores and settings stay on your phone. When you play nearby, game data is sent directly between the phones in the room and never to us. We use no advertising, no tracking and no third-party analytics.
Why we use it
Only to make the app work: to let you sign in and to save your games and word lists. The legal basis is performing our agreement with you (providing the app). We never sell data or share it for marketing.
Where it is stored
Account data is stored with our hosting provider Supabase, which processes it on our behalf with GDPR safeguards. Sign-in is handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.
How long
We keep the data as long as you have an account. Deleting your account in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account) removes the account and all its data immediately and permanently.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of or deletion of your data, and object to its processing. Contact us at the address above. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect personal data from children beyond the optional anonymous account ID described above.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above.
